In collaboration with Buro Regen & Water, Script is conducting research into climate-proofing the future development of Amsterdam Science Park.

Our data analysis and calculation models predict where heat stress, drought or flooding will occur in the future. We develop innovative scenarios in which (rain) water is used as a resource to add quality to the Park, to make buildings more sustainable and supply energy to processes.

Although business areas are known as vital for our economy, they are probably among the least climate adaptive areas as well.

In collaboration with Buro Regen & Water and Rain(a)way, we developed a strategy to energize existing business areas by means of using an energy source that not only generates energy, but makes the area at the same time greener and more pleasant: rainwater. It comes out of the blue for nothing, nobody does anything with it, and its potential turns out to be bigger than expected.

With a combination of architectural interventions and water management business areas are substantially gaining competitiveness compared to other only energy-positive business parks.
